Teledyne MEC has extensive expertise in brazing metals and ceramics.

 

Brazing can be performed under any of the following atmospheres, as appropriate to the materials:

• Air
• Hydrogen (Dry, Ultra Dry or Wet)
• Hydrogen/Nitrogn
• Vacuum

The braze materials used cover the temperature range from Cusil (Silver/Copper Alloy) at 780°C Liquidus to Palco (Palladium/Copper Alloy) at 1235°C Liquidus.

For brazing in a hydrogen atmosphere, Teledyne MEC's furnaces can accommodate assemblies up to 36 inches in height and 18 inches in diameter. For vacuum furnace brazing, the maximum work piece size allowable is 22 inches in height and 9 inches in diameter.
