Plating
Chemical Lab Teledyne MEC has a wide variety plating capabilities. Teledyne MEC personnel perform regular plating bath analysis to insure quality process performance using statistical process control (SPC).

Teledyne MEC maintains segregated baths to prevent cross contamination.

Plating lines are equipped with electrocleaners and dedicated baths - with no CFCs or HFCs utilized. Bath chemistries and material plating capabilities are summarized below:

Nickel Strike (Watts Type):

  • All materials - except Aluminum

Copper Bath (Cyanide Free Solution):

  • Aluminum (after Electroless Nickel strike)
  • Brass, Copper,Copper/Nickel Alloys, Metalized Ceramics, Molybdenum, Steel, Stainless Steel

Dull Nickel (Watts Type - Electrolytic):

  • Brass, Copper, Copper/Nickel Alloys, Metalized Ceramics, Molybdenum, Steel, Stainless Steel

Electroless Nickel:

  • Aluminum, Brass, Copper, Copper/Nickel Alloys, Molybdenum, Iron, Steel, Stainless Steel

Gold:

  • Aluminum (after Electroless Nickel strike)
  • Brass, Copper, Copper/Nickel Alloys, Beryllium Copper, Molybdenum, Steel, Stainless Steel

Clear and Black Anodizing of Aluminum

Phosphation of Steel/Iron
